St Augustine Bridge of Lions Opens

The St Augustine Bridge of Lions

St Augustine Bridge of Lions

This is a computer produced image of the new bridge. The final road work and landscaping is being completed now. First opened in 1927 the original bridge cost one million dollars. The new 82 million dollar bridge is a replica of the original. This includes duplicating the original lights. Here is a photo of the original.

Old Bridge of Lions

In order to facilitate the construction a temporary bridge was built alongside the old bridge. This bridge is now being dis-assembled and will be utilized on another project up north. It will be several months until everything is completed.

Hi Glenn, I have traveled over the Bridge of Lions! Great area. It sounds as if your community is having to suffer a lot of traffic slow downs for the next several months. Glad they are keeping the original look and recycling some of it too. 84 million ought to bring several new jobs to your community.

Blessings, Jill.   P.S. Thanks for more internet lead generation help. Your long letter of instructions gives me an "aha" that I need to do some MORE stuff differently. How do you find the time??! Thanks again for your help.
